Disgusting Workmanship

<p>I made my first home purchase a couple of years ago for a sectional title unit and purchased off plan. The developer was MetBCE part of the Met Group - Since the construction has been completed we have had nothing but issues with bad workmanship ! From chipped tiles and scratched Granite - Unfinished paint work and toilets that dont flush . Rising damp and terrible water pressure. Tiles on balcony completely lifted and the front door handle just falling off ! the skirting baords have all fallen off and plug fixtures coming loose. Parts of these issues we were able to get sorted as part of our snags list and so on and some issues are still a problem .More issues have since come up.... currently our flat floods everytime it rains - this is because the drain hole on the patio is too small and becuase the grouting was done so badly that water actually leaks under our door, our ceiling boards in our bedroom have dipped and nails popped out and the boards actually starting to come loose , numerous tiles now around the flat have lifted and come lose.... Insurance will not cover bad workmanship - i dont blame them - and the body corperate are fighting a losing battle with a company who simply do not care that they did such bad work and refuse to fix any of the problems.... apparently it seems that brand new homes only last a couple years.... my hair dryer has a longer warranty.... They reply to queries by refering people to their legal team and hide behind stupid excuses that place them on that side of the "law"so as to make it pointless in trying to argue with them.... Some companies simply do not care about delivering a good product and in my opinion the Met Group of companies , specifically MetBCE Construction seem to be one of them. </p>
