MERRI MOW HOWICK NOT HONORING A GUARANTEE

We bought a lawnmower from Merri Mow enterprises on the 22nd of April 2022. Early in. the lawnmower gave engine problems. I changed the oil to see if the performance will improve but it did not. We drove all the way to Howick to have it looked at and because it was still under guarantee we expected that we will at least be helped to get a lawnmower/ replacement or fixed engine. We continually phoned and asked about the progress/outcome of the investigation to what the problem is. Yesterday ( 25th of April) we received a call from them to say that it is my fault that the engine gave problems because the oil is black!! SERIOUSLY!!! Anyone will KNOW that any lawnmower, car, bike or ANYTHING that works with oil after a while has BLACK OIL! I would also not even believe that it is the case anyway because i changed the oil before i took it in! Today ( 26th ) I phoned the owner, Shaun to talk to him about it! He refused to help me and even put down the phone in my ear!! REALLY !!? Is THAT how you treat your customers??? After weeks and weeks we now sit without a lawnmower and NO help from a guy that sold us ( and *** there was no problem when he collected the money) a item with the GUARANTEE that it will be replaced or fixed for free if and when it breaks in 12 months!! This is so very unacceptable that I cannot stress it enough!!!and as a result of our experience i can only say: DONT BUY OR SUPPORT MERRI MOW ENTERPRISES IN HOWICK!
