STAY AWAY FROM MERLOT MOTORS

I ignored an old Hello Peter complaint about MERLOT MOTORS IN TABLEVIEW to my peril last week. Having needed to replace my radiator I chose this repair shop because it was close to home and my radiator was pouring water so could not drive even 5 kms to my usual service centre. At first on the surface the manager/owner Eugene seemed nice enough (but turned indifferent even nasty after I had paid him) - I arranged to send him the money for buying the radiator R2,500 upfront (I had initially been told the market price for a new one was R1,850) - apparently my car had a few radiator models and it was the one at R2,350 which he claimed was fitted. On arriving to pick up my car and pay the balance of R1,600 labour I asked him to put the model number on the invoice - he refused - even stating that it was CONFIDENTIAL PERSONAL INFORMATION - believe this guy!! Of course it confirmed for me that he claimed it cost him R2,350 but in reality we all know he got it from a dealer at R1,850 or maybe even less with a dealer discount in the industry. In addition he never flushed the engine saying he did not need to as it had been standing for a few days. And no anti freeze added either! DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE WITH THIS REPAIR SHOP - REMEMBER THE NAME >>>MERLOT MOTORS IN TABLEVIEW!
