WARNING - do not place orders with Merkado

I placed an order with Merkado on 11 June 2018; and despite their undertaking to deliver the goods within 10 to 15 Working days, I have received no delivery to date. I queried the status of my order on 9 July 2018, and it has taken them 5 days to respond, with a lame excuse regarding a "Customs Delay"; and they are now waiting for a new ETA.

Their website states: "With Merkado you will always be getting a good deal - with exceptional service that makes your shopping experience as easy and seamless as possible". Frankly, their service has been non-existent; and this has been a nightmare thus far.

I will never place any orders with them again; and I would advise anyone who intends to do business with them, not to!

I am rather astounded to note per their website that they appear to have an association with the likes of Takealot - perhaps I should have placed my order with Takealot directly, as I have never experienced any problems with Takealot orders and delivery.
