Booking problems with Mercure Hotel Randburg.

On 4th of August 2015 I had a booking at Mercure Hotel Randburg for a non smoking twin room. Booking was done by telephone. The reference nr is as follows *** and the rate R 860.00 . On arrival at about 16:00 at reception to check in, the reception clerck told me that there is no such a booking made and they only have rooms available in the smoking section of the hotel. I refused , I want what I have booked for. She could not help me and never offered a solution or call the manager on duty. I had to leave and find accommodation at the Roadlodge hotel in Randburg. The matter is very serious for me , due to the fact I had to travel far and needed to be for training in Johannesburg this morning early. I had stayed on previous occasions in the Mercure Hotel in Randburg and found it to be central and close to my company Headoffice. However , this will never happen again and I will make sure to tell everybody about this very bad service and will definitely recommend Road Lodge Randburg where I have been welcomed and helped fast and efficiently.
