Merchants Recruitment deserve a big zero

What a pathetic company when it comes to recruitment. I resigned at the end of June because Merchants had advised that I was successful with a position that I had app**** for and will be starting on26 June 2023. Then I receive and email to confirm that the new start date is 10 July 2023. Yesterday, after making the necessary arrangements for my daughter for me to start next week, I receive an email advising that I will not be starting on the date provided and Merchants will get back to me when and if new recruits will be starting in August or September. I now do not have an income, a means of survival and the company has no compassion for the fact that people give up jobs to start a new position with them. I am disgusted in the company and cannot believe that I gave up my job to go and work for an employer who actually has no regard for people when it comes to their livelihood. SIES
