WORST SERVICE - MERCEDES A CLASS ELECTRONIC PROBLEMS

I am totally disappointed with the terrible and unprofessional service received from Mercedes Benz and the dealership Mercedes Benz Constantia. Is this some form of racial profiling coming in from the dealership or is it that they simply give a “****” with regard to their customers that support their business, this is the case then staff from Mercedes Constantia really need to understand the definition of “customer service” as they do not have any s**** to make a customer happy….Alda Waddell (Dealer Principle) seems like it’s just textbook scripts on your resume or profile as per below as your staff do not practice any of it as they give a **** about the customer especially the service related departments as some of them think they know it all but lack the simple thing called common sense “ staff should think that they are not doing any favours to customers – customers have paid for the service – it’s part of their jobs” – they should have a knowledge of the brand and what is expected of them.

My wife’s car had an electronic problem on the 25 October 2016 and we logged this query Mercedes Roadside Assistance which they came out to the site and so called fixed the problem by taking a can of spray and spraying onto the computer box. The problem went away and the mechanic mention to us that this was repaired as it was the wires that are dirty – 2014 Mercedes A180CDI with 45000kms. We accepted this and continued driving the vehicle as – safety for a female driver. My wife then decides to buy a new GLA220CDI from Mercedes Constantia and convinces me that Mercedes is a good and safe brand. Zulu give us the quote and I make the necessary arrangements to have the funds transferred in December 2016 for the new vehicle. However on the 11 November 2016, this same electronic problem repeated itself and I contacted the Mercedes Roadside Assist and the lady in the call center said that its late as there was no electricity in the Kloofendal area – the best she can do is leave a follow up for the agents in the morning to log the breakdown again the next morning for this to be attended to. At 8am there was no call from Mercedes so we contact the Roadside assistance again and they made the necessary arrangements for the vehicle to be towed by a towing company as follows

1. Vehicle was towed at 8.30am Saturday morning by Magalies Towing

2. Contact the call center again to tell them that the vehicle has been towed and can they arrange a courtesy vehicle – which they said they will call the dealership

3. Call center call me back and mentions that they employees at Mercedes Benz Constantia by the name of Vicky states that there is no need for a courtesy vehicle and assured the vehicle would be repaired by between 12pm-1pm and we can collect the vehicle on Saturday 12/11/2016 – All this is recorded on the call center database (Who is Vicky that she can diagnose an electronic fault without seeing or inspecting the vehicle – is she a qualified electronics engineer or mechanic)

4. We contacted the call center at 12.30pm to make the arrangements to collect the vehicle as no one was answering the phones at Mercedes Constantia

5. Call center followed up and could not get hold of them.

6. Mercedes Constantia did not even get back to us regarding the status of the vehicle – is it repaired or is it just standing in their workshop (what an inconvenience) no feedback no follow up

7. Contacted the call center and they got hold of the service manager who said he will contact me – Service Manger did not even bother to contact us (Is he just racial profiling that he could not even have the decency to notify us non-white folks as to what is going on with our vehicle – guess if it was a white person then he can afford the phone call.

8. Contacted the call center again we still don’t know the status of the vehicle – Told them that I can get my EFF buddies to toi toi outside Mercedes Constantia

9. Mercedes Constantia only contacted me today on the 14 November 2016 at 9am to inform that the vehicle is only being booked in today and the problem is going to be diagnosed. Where the customer feedback and customer satisfaction – probably if my wife broke down on a deserted road Mercedes will have left her in the middle of the road to take care of herself – no safety – no protection – no reliability

10. Poor service

11. Brand Loyalty – How do you expect us to buy the next vehicle from Mercedes when we as customers are treated so badly

12. Vehicle is parked at Mercedes Constantia for more than 48 hours and no one even bothered to contact us – my wife could not even go to work this morning as she does not even have a vehicle – no courtesy vehicle provided as the Mercedes courtesy vehicle are for staff only
