Warning to all Mercedes owners

URGENT ALERT

TO ALL MERCEDES OWNERS CONSIDERING BUYING THE NEW C – CLASS MERCEDES (W206)

I have been the proud owner of the previous two C-class Mercedes Benz models for the past 12 years. At the beginning of 2022, I purchased the new Mercedes

C200 which I deeply regret as it is no match for its predecessors for the following reasons :

1. During March 2022 ,the vehicle was damaged and I was unable to enjoy the vehicle for a period of THREE months as the parts were not available in SA and had to be ordered from Germany; 2. The vehicle’s side mirror control unit became defective and also had to be ordered from Germany, resulting in an unsafe driving experience as I was unable to adjust the side mirrors for a period of one month; 3. On Friday , 20 January 2023 , the vehicle started shaking profusely and I immediately took it to the dealership. The vehicle was diagnosed with a faulty sparkplug only . Tomorrow , 29 January 2023, will be the 9th ( ninth ) day that the vehicle is with the dealership and for 9 days I have been told that the sparkplug has not arrived from the Mercedes Parts Division. Needless to say, I have not been offered a temporary vehicle to use; 4. Whilst there for the sparkplug , the vehicle was also booked in for its annual service. I have been informed that NO oil filter for the vehicle is available in SA , that same will also have to be ordered from Germany and that I will be contacted when the oil filter arrives from Germany. Bursting into laughter didn’t contribute towards the relationship between myself and Mercedes Benz; 5. On Friday, 27 January 2023, I also received a general safety recall from Mercedes Benz SA to urgently bring the vehicle in for the fitment of some gadget in the boot to prevent a possible electrical short and fire. I suppose all new C – class owners received a similar recall notice. The only positive is that the vehicle is already with Mercedes.
