Very Disappointed Mercedes client

Very disappointed in the behavior I received at Mercedes Constantia. Firstly, I took my 2018 Mercedes C200 Coupe to them because it reported a Left dipped beam error. My Service Advisor was Mauro Pozzan, I never got any update during the day about the status of my car and later that afternoon I decided to phone and check (about twice or trice), then I was told my light is cracked and that they would not cover it under the motor plan and that I need to pay R39 162.70 to replace my entire light, a crack that I was not aware of, which I think if it was there was probably superficial and they probably broke it when they took it out because all of the sudden I got warnings for all the different components in the light when they gave my car back later that afternoon (which was not the case before). And to think I only booked it for a Left dipped beam. I told Mauro that I was not aware of this crack, but I was aware of the bumper that was unclipped and I brought it to his attention that I asked them if they could clip the bumper back for me on 13th October 2020, when I brought the car for a service previously, just to prove to him that I know about the bumper. He said they would investigate the crack and get back to me. I thought this would be quick, but they took 3 days to get back to me to tell me that they got footage of me coming into the dealership on the 27th October 2020, which is the actual day in question. So, I told him I’ll come to the dealership when I get a chance to look at his findings. Which brings me to today, 3rd November 2020, I went and viewed the footage, to find that the footage Mauro showed me was for the 13th October 2020 (when I actually serviced my car almost a month ago) and not the day in question, he showed me a mark on the light but of old footage and the light was still working on the footage he showed me. So, I said that he cannot show me this footage, firstly this is not the date in question and secondly the light was working then. So, I asked him for the footage that he said they had of the date in question because I’m not there to see old footage of a light that was working. He became a bit irritated with me but cooled down. And said that he will have to get the Workshop Manager to speak to me. So, the workshop manager came and ask what’s wrong. Well, I explained the light issue to him which I’m sure he was already aware of, and told him that the issues I really had was, 1. I never signed an inspection document as I normally do at the other Mercedes branches, 2. there is no footage of my car that day as claimed, 3. I had to call to find out what’s the status of my car, and only after about the 2nd or 3rd time of calling I got to know of this crack, bear in mind that I spoke to Mauro about twice before, why did he not mention the crack then. Which makes me think that if there was a crack it was not right through until they took the light off and broke it. The above mention was not half as disgusting as the treatment I was about to get from the Workshop Manager. So, the workshop manager told me that motor plan won’t cover it, so I said but the footage you using in your defence, the light was still working, I want the footage of the day in question, he got so arrogant and rude towards me, and said, “I know where this is going.” I will not talk to you anymore; Mauro just give him head offices number let him phone there and complain.” Then he just walked away, and I thought to myself that this is the same guy I saw speaking nicely and professionally to a white woman moments ago??? Is this issue not being resolved because of my skin colour??? I mean, this is my second Merc, and I’ve never experienced such treatment. I’m even considering going back to BMW… I know that a manager tries and resolve an issue with the least conflict as possible… I never expected this kind of treatment from a global brand of Mercedes-Benz caliber.
