Very disappointed and irritated - Very very poor service
Me and my whole family are avid Merc supporters. We are true brand ambassadors.
My one Mercedes went in on 3 January to Mercedes Benz Pinetown for a miss fire. The answer I got was the spark plugs needed to be replaced. Fair and well it was done and I got the car back.
6 Weeks later the car went in for exactly the same problem. This time I insisted the car be taken to Mercedes Benz Umhlanga. Both branches of NMI.
This time I was told the coil needed to be replaced. They did not replace the coil pack, only one coil. And was told the problem was now sorted out.
3 Weeks later the car goes in yet again for the same problem of miss firing. This time I am told the fuel pump, fuel rail and injectors are the problem. The parts are on back order from Germany.
However, neither the Dealership which is NMI Umhlanga or Mercedes Benz SA is giving me feedback as to a loan vehicle. I have to phone the dealership everyday. The service advisor will tell me he will speak to the manager and phone me back. The customer liaison officer is never available to take my call, or provide me with feedback.
Calling MBSA is another nightmare. The claim for the the loan vehicle has been approved but no one is getting back to me. This remains a mystery as now all of a sudden there is a back log. The claim was approved 1 week ago.
I have been without wheels for close to a month now and I still do not have an answer as to when I will have a car to drive. All I am told is ASAP. Unfortunately MBSA or Mercedes Benz Umhlanga's ASAP is completely different to mine.
A very disappointed customer
