Useless service from Mercedes-Benz SA, Mercedes-Benz Bryanston, Mercedes-Benz Century City
I've just purchased a GLC300D and after 1 month the vehicle needed a software update. The branch I'm doing this service update is Bryanston. It is taking 5 days to get my car back.
It is unacceptable that a luxury brand that we pay for a premium takes 5 days to update software. The Bryanston dealership at their service department say their bandwidth is slow.
I'm now paying insurance, car premiums and am without a vehicle. This is really unacceptable and I'm extremely disappointed with this and it's like I'm paying for my car to be sitting in a workshop. The car has only done 1200kms. I cannot understand why the Century City Mercedes-Benz in Cape Town were unable to do these updates before selling to me. Most unacceptable from them.
I'm not happy with this totally useless service, especially when they promised to finish this work over 2 days. Which is also (2 days) too long for software updates and sidestep (running boards) installation which they said is in stock and the only reason I took it Bryanston and no other dealership. I was promised a quote on Day 1, then Day 2 for the sidesteps ... surprise, surprise ... I'm still waiting, I've received nothing. Shocking.
When I direct this to the Mercedes-Benz SA Facebook page, I get automated responses from their chat bot. So disappointing. Still waiting for feedback after sharing my vehicle details.
With Mercedes-Benz dealerships and sales lowering I'm not surprised, their premium price along with useless service warrants us to look elsewhere and at other brands!
