SHOCKS GET TESTED BY HAND - 2016 Avantgarde Blue Efficency V250

2106 AVANTGARDE BLUE EFFICENCY -

AFTER 17000KM , my back tyres, both are smooth to wire.

Taking my vehicle in for a rim repair , front left, i was called by the service gentleman to be told, he has bad new for me, never mind the front rim, both back tyres need to be replace. I was shocked, he said it could be the tyre pressure not been correct, over loading. I am a woman who drives alot, so always well aware of checking tyre pressure. Overloading, unlikely , its me, and since purchasing the vehicle have not had the oportunity to overloaded it. Just as well.

We agree to order new tyres , after leaving Mercedes Witbank, I thought no way in hell, something has to be wrong, off I go to Tiger Wheels and Tyres, they recommend I go for a shock test at Speedy's. Did test, and gentleman confirmed that their machince had been calebrated 2 months ago so it cant be wrong,

Both front and back shocks are gone. Back to mercedes to show report, only to be told the same story , overloading, tyre pressure.

I might add with very little concern that a new passenger vehicle has this problem, and lets blame the client.

My vehicle has been at Mercedes Witbank since beginning January. After 7 days of not hearing from them , i took this matter up with your Mercedes Benz Client Service department, they got hold of Witbank, and 2 hours later I got a call from Witbank, they had not yet taken vehicle out to test.

Once they got onto checking out my vehicle, we were told their mechanics, manual test shocks by hand, and all is good.

Head office sent out someone, and last week monday was notified by email , that there has been more findings on the vehicle, which need to be referred to Germany.

I think at least I know, that if communication from the beginning had been app**** from Mercedes Benz, most of my frustation would be under control.

Terrible service, we have had nothing but excuses, for not following up on my vehicle, for not returning calls, having wrong number, you didnt even think to ask your sales man who was calling me to make the purchase for my correct number.

This car has been in for noises from day one, mechanism on sliding doors having to be replaced, while out of town my doors opened and would not close I had to drive 28 km with my disable father, doors open, because Mercedes Breakdown services did not respond to the call, which I am still awaiting months later.

At this point , Mercedes can keep the car. Paying for a vehicle I have no use for, and a future relationship I dont want to consider.

In todays time SALES is an easy task, SERVICE is the problem.
