Ridiculous Service Bill

Car was booked in for a B-Service 12 December 2017, 7:30am. Prior to the service was telephonically quoted between R3200 and R3800, provided that nothing is wrong.

Was called during the day that they identified a small leak on one of the pipes which needed to be replaced. They checked on my request to adjust my headlights and said they have to replace some of the bulbs.

The rest was the usual replacement of filters, etc.

Upon collection around 4pm they presented me with a R18000 bill. Included in the bill, R9720 for labour!!! R1215 per hour if you work every hour on the hour on only my car. This is ridiculously high!! After calling the service manager, Andrew, he confirmed that the bill was correct and that the labour cost is a MERE R875 per hour.

I believe that several component on the invoice is double counted and included in the service cost for a B-Service.

I expect that my bill should be investigated anf verified, for correction. I will also be taking this bill to other Mercedez Benz outlets and the Ombudsman for further verification and action.
