No Notification from Financial Institution

<p>I am an adult mail who lost my job in 2015. I had a Vehicle that was financed by Mercedes Benz South Africa. I voluntarily surrendered the vehicle in March 2016 after not being successful in obtaining other employment. I was told that I would be contacted to notify me on the valuation in writing and be notified in writing on the progress. I contacted the person who repossessed the vehicle via email and he assured me that they will notify me. I later found to be listed on the Credit system with a judgement and amount owing of almost R70 000.00. I contacted Ferosa Gani on 9 September and was told that I owe the amount. On the same day I requested the documentation that was sent to me for the valuation and the intended sale of the vehicle. This is what I discovered: I entered into the contract in 2013 with my current address and received my statements and all information accordingly. The notification of the intended sale and the valuation were posted via registered mail to an address where I was residing in 2009. I called yesterday and was told by Daniel Sibanyoni that it might be the address on ITC as my question was where did they obtain the address, had I been notified as per my residential address and all correspondence INCLUDING my contract of purchase I would have been able to defend my judgement. I have not signed or received 1 single document from the Financial Institution. No letter was received or signed. The list of registered mail is a copy of the dispatch book with a tracking number. The Valuation for Trade and Retail value was noted as N/A on the valuation. The vehicle sold for much less than its value. I would like a written explanation why I was never notified and where this address was obtained as all agreements should have proof of residence.</p> <p> </p>
