Mercedes Vito CDI tensioner and Sensor issues

The purpose of this letter is to inform all Mercedes Benz Vito CDI116 owners of the following issues and unwillingness of Mercedes Benz South Africa to replace parts on goodwill. I bought a second hand 2011 Mercedes Benz Vito CDI 116. I encountered the following issues with my vehicle and I am aware of more than one person experiencing these issues, kilometres vary from 60 000 to 90 000 kilometres. The Timing chain tensioner was replaced on 89 000 kilometres, a part that would not commonly be replaced if the vehicle's services are up to date.<br> I also had to replace the Air manifold Pressure sensor, subsequently this also had to be replaced on my Brothers Vito (same model). I believe that these issues are known to Mercedes Benz and that they are showing a blind eye to the customers when these issues are reported. The feedback that I got from the Mercedes dealership is that Mercedes Benz SA does not want to help with the costs for the reason that the vehicle is out of warranty and because of the fact that I am the second owner. The latter in my opinion is total nonsense. I must just mention that my car is only 4 years old.<br>
