Mercedes Rivonia and HQ follows failure after failure and still unresolved
I would like to remind all reading that the poor service started at the state of the art branch in Sandton. I drive an E63. Took my vehicle in for a service end November to prepare for the holiday period. The first shock was that they would not cover the brakes which is still in plan as I only covered 14****m roughly so I paid in any case leaving dealership unhappy as I requested that the DP get involved as I had the same situation when dealing with the same crowd in Bryanston on another occasion. To date no contact from anyone at a senior level in the branch. My vehicle them only did 50 km after the service at which point the engine light came on about 1-1.5 weeks later. Took the vehicle in on Thursday the 12th so they could rectify the issue. Eventually at the end of Thursday they found the 2 issues one being am exhaust sensor and the other a control Arm bush. I did explain that Friday the 13th December was my first day of vacation and I was attending a wedding in kzn so needed my vehicle. When I got to the dealership on Friday am , vehicle was not ready. No option given to me in the form of car hire or anything was provided except the frustration that the dealership put me into. I left and even though a call was logged with customer services, no contact was made for at least a week from HQ at which point they offered me a hired vehicle in the form of a Toyota eventually on the 24th of December at midday. They assured me that the vehicle would be changed on the 2nd January for a Mercedes Benz as ETA on my car is only the 13th January. I called in on numerous occasions since and no one has returned my call on the swop out. I urge people to stay away while Mercedes so call make reliable cars their after sales customer services is non existent all the way to the top and yes as you see in my article this is one of their luxury vehicles engine hand made etc, so the reliability should be there.
