Mercedes Constantia Kloof

I went into Mercedes Benz Constantia Kloof this morning to buy something and asked them to check the transmission fluid level, but they say that they have to book the car int to do this because it's not an easy process!!!! - This even after purchasing the transmission oil from them. The process is the same as checking engine oil- not sure what's so complicated about that. The car does not come with a dipstick, so you need to somehow get a dipstick to check the level. I even asked if I could purchase a dipstick, but they said that they do not sell it. Just out to make a buck!
