MERCEDES BENZ SOUTH AFRICA

I bought a G wagon brand new in 2023, drove the vehicle for not even 1 month and it was faulty, I waited for the parts to be ordered from Germany in order for the vehicle to be repaired which took 3 months whilst the vehicle was at the dealership. Got the vehicle back and after 1 week, experienced the same problem, took the vehicle back to the dealership, it was kept at the dealership for 6 months all along I had to pay a premium without having the luxury vehicle I bought, I was a offered a Kia Sonet as a courtesy car, what a disgrace, I paid R3.5 mil for a vehicle at Mercedes and was offered a KIA? I think its totally unacceptable whilst paying a huge installment every month. I then complained about G wagon and not being able to use it, they offered me to trade in the existing G wagon for a later model which was then a 2024 model. After receiving the latest model to which a compromised because I really liked the G wagon I agreed to take the latest model. After receiving the 2024 model and taking it for a drive to Mpumalanga the vehicles gave me problems again with only 1****m on the odo meter. I contacted Mercedes Customer Services they towed it to the nearest dealership at Mercedes Mbombela, it remained there for 2 weeks and I was informed that the vehicle is ready for collection, I flew down on my own expense to collect the vehicle. As I was driving back to Johannesburg the vehicle lost power again and the engine light came on again and I phoned customer care once again and they towed it back to the Mercedes Dealership in Sandton where I bought the vehicle from. They vehicle remained there for another 5 months from October 2024 to February 2025 whilst awaiting parts from Germany. I did not want to collect that same vehicle as it was already faulty and I requested the vehicle to be replaced as it was brand new and already faulty, I did not buy a used vehicle and they recommended a brand new model and I could not understand why there are parts to be replaced for a new vehicle. They verified the vehicle is 100% and once collected after travelling for 400km the problems arise once again. I took it back Mercedes Sandton, it remained there for 2 months and after I was told I could collect the vehicle and after 1 week the exact same problem came up, the vehicle was towed to Mercedes Bedfordview, remained there for 2 months. I collected the vehicle and drove it for couple of days and started again with the same issues as previously experienced. It was taken back to Mercedes Bedfordview, it remained there for 1 month, collected the vehicle on 30 December 2025 driving for a couple of kms until 5 January 2026, once again the same issues arose with the same problem of the vehicle going into limp mode and the engine lights came on. The car is currently at the dealership in Sandton where it was bought from, its currently still in their possession and up to now , no courtesy car. I have been paying for over 2 years on a luxurious vehicle of which I only experienced problems, no enjoyment of this vehicle for which I'm paying every month . I am now demanding for my money back or replacing the vehicle with a new vehicle with the same existing contract. I will not stop until this problem is solved. Mercedes has only treated me unfairly demanding debit orders every month whilst not even being able to enjoy the vehicle I bought. I will stop at nothing until this issue has been resolved.
