Mercedes Benz - not interested to fix known factory fault.

My whole back right light cluster failed. When searching the internet this is a common problem with the C- class make and model. Infact this series was recalled in Canada and US as it is a fire hazard. Why not in South Africa? The earth wire is too small and overheats. When looking at YouTube videos on this issue and inspecting my car this is exactly the same problem. Contacting Mercedes Benz South Africa via e-mail they just rep**** my car was not affected by this problem (looking at the Vin number). It is as clear as day it is the same problem, yet they won't fix it. Never buy Mercedes, they are only interested in making a sale and do not care about aftersales service. This borders on ********* where a company is too big to care and feels untouchable. What if my car catches fire because of this problem? The best or nothing turned out to be nothing!
