Mercedes Benz: Not all dealerships are playing by the rules
In 2014 I purchased a brand new Mercedes from the Umhlanga branch. I have had several poor service experiences with them including damage to my vehicle whilst in for a service. They approved paintwork to the back fender after me insisting on the repairs. Recently I noticed the paint on my vehicle seemed to be fading. I took it to Mercedes and they gave my vehicle the all clear. I was unhappy with the feedback as it was conspicuous that the paint was amiss. I took the vehicle in to Techno star and was shocked to find out that my bonnet and 2 front fenders were spray painted. I have never had an accident with my vehicle nor had any paintwork done by myself. I have had the same insurance company from inception and have never submitted a claim for what would have been a rather big and expensive job. This vehicle was done up and sold to me as a brand new car. Mercedes is now passing the buckbonto me the customer. A few issues have now arisen. I have escalated the issue to social media and provided all the proof of documentation I had. It is clear that ethics and honesty are not part of the Mercedes brand. It's about pushing sales. I have requested several meetings with the ownership and was told in the new year. Now they decline the request. If you have purchased a " brand new " vehicle., have it checked out. You might have bought a donkey instead of a stallion. Utterly dismayed and frustrated by a brand I used to trust.
