Mercedes-Benz customer service has deteriorated to a standard no one can withstand
My c class started showing a battery error light on my way to Venda. I decided to look for the nearest Mercedes-Benz near Polokwane. I was taking a chance because my aunt who stays in Polokwane who own a GLC had told me that she now takes her car to a mechanic because she experienced worse service at Mercedes-Benz Polokwane. When I walked in. The lady at reception with the red hair(Kgabo ramahala) I think it’s her name. Was eating breakfast. She looked like I was disturbing her. I told her what I was seeing on the car and I wanted her to see if they can check the car and tell me if it’s drivable to Venda or I needed to book it on and leave it there. I told her I was willing to pay because I was not sure what I would do if I got stuck on the road. Yoh the treatment was horrible. She told me the technicians are busy, they cannot check the car. If I want to leave the car I’m welcome to do so but she doesn’t know when it’s going to be looked at , nor does she know if she can even book it in. I had to leave like that and 5 km or less later the car stopped moving. I got stuck with kids in the car. I have owned Mercedes-Benz for a long time: what made me stick with it was the treatment they used to give to their customers. I had even seen people bringing older models back to Mercedes-Benz because of the customer service and piece of mind. Trully the customer service at Mercedes-Benz has changed. I even regret why I allowed my aunt to buy a Mercedes-Benz. We are far better off with the Chinese cars. The luxury and convinience we used to get at Mercedes is long gone and I’m never ever gonna invest on a Mercedes-Benz or even advice anyone to. They might as well close shop because we are moving to the cheaper Chinese cars.
