Mercedes Benz C43 brake pads and discs design shortfall and NO ACCOUNTABILITY

Am a BMW and sports car fanatic. Bought a C43 AMG in November 2018 at a cost of R1.4million from the bedfordview centre, the intention was to give the AMG pack a try and I must say...either Mercedes installs substandard products or the sports plus configuration is only meant to lure buyers in but absolutely bad for your brake pads. Having done my research to date, I am told by other people who have had to let go of their 43 and 63 that they got rid of those cars for the same problem!

With just over 22,000 kms on the clock and a service conducted at 15,000 kms; I am told that not only do I need to replace brake pads but the discs as well, all this supposedly due to bad driving and harsh braking! This is told to a woman who is currently driving the BMW hybrids i8 roadster and has been driving BMW 650i series, M6, 330Ci for the past couple of years and can count the number of times I have had to replace brake pads and discs on each of those vehicles.

Further to that, speaking to the Mercedes Benz dealer in klerksdorp and the centre where I bought the C43: the brand is represented by people who do not want to take accountability and quick to push the blame to the customer instead of acknowledging the design shortfalls on their products and solving the problem.

Will pay for the replacement of the brake pads and the discs and then get rid of the ******* called Mercedes Benz C43 AMG.

I urge anyone who loves sports cars as much as I do to STAY AWAY FROM MERCEDES BENZ...Its a clear case of "beauty and no brains"...

They must leave the super cars to BMW, Porsche and all other brands who clearly know what they are doing!!!
