Mercedes Benz Bedfordview - Damage to vehicle
On the 30 October 2018 my Mercedes Benz GLC went for the routine service. My car was dropped at the dealership by my husband. On Monday afternoon, I ensured my vehicle had no damages and etc. Luckily in the afternoon I decided to go with my husband to fetch my vehicle. At a distance we identified my vehicle with the service manager, however he did not come to the vehicle. On the front right hand side, in front of the vehicle I identified a scratch which I brought to my husbands attention and told him to call Wayne the service manager. I was clear at the onset that my car was inspected by myself with no scratches. Wayne did not react. I told my husband to take a photo with his phone and thereafter Wayne said he will do likewise. Even, at this point Wayne did not state or communicate the vehicle had a scratch when delivered for the service. I told him he must investigate and get back to me the next day as it was already at about 5:25 PM and we left.
Next day I called and spoke to the Manager Meghan at the dealership and thereafter I received a mail from Wayne, with the specification form and a photo that was taken by him. It was on this form that I noticed a cross on the form where the scratch appeared. Prior to my husband signing the form, the service adviser did not indicate that there was a scratch on the vehicle, nor did he communicate this fact when he called me to give an update during the day on my vehicle.
This is the terrible service from a flagship dealer who are unable to take accountability for the damage and are still denying the scratch. The photos clearly depicts the scratch is new and was not on the vehicle for a while. I must add the car was terribly dirty with water marks on the outside, a shoddy job done in cleaning the vehicle.
