Mercedes Benz 2022 Class engine light
It is with sadness and frustrations that I write this review on Mercedes Benz Bryanston. I bought my car from Mercedes Benz Bryanston in August 2022 (new vehicle) c*** model. In August 2023 it went for my first service at Mercedes Bryanston and a month later, I was back at Mercedes Bryanston. On the 17th September 2024 I took the car in as the engine light went off and the car started shacking on the road with less power.
This car C200 was purchased at Mercedes Benz Bryanston (new) in August 2022.
I requested that I receive an email confirming what the issue was from the service advisor of the day he confirmed the issue was the spark plug which they replaced.
On the 19th December the issue started again while I was on the road, the engine light went off and the car started shacking with less power, I then took the car in for “another fix”. I explained the issue to the service advisor of the day. The service advisor later called to explain that in September when they fixed the spark plug they only fixed 1 and not all of them. She assured me that all will be replaced and no issues should be encountered going forward relating to this.
Yet on the 9 January I experience the same issue. The engine light went off while on the road, car starts shacking and the car has less power!
I went to Mercedes Benz Bryanston on 10 January and they couldn’t pick up what they fixed in December though they can see the car came in with an issue.
It’s frustrating that Mercedes Benz doesn’t see to take accountability for this issue and being back here for the 3rd time with the same issue with no assurance that there is a permanent fix.
The car is still under warranty and it worries me that if this continues (still not 100% sure what the real issue is) I will be left with a mess that Mercedes Benz can’t fix on such a brand new car. I need assistance and assurance that Mercedes Benz will take accountability for this issue and will be resolved and guarantee that if it continues post maintenance plan and warranty they will take responsibility for this.
This is unacceptable that I experience spark plus issues while the car was just 2 years old and clearly Mercedes can’t fix this issue permanently.
It is so exhausting and sad that I can’t rely on this “luxury” car for long, it worries me that something might just break while I travel or it will fail some day in the middle of the road.
