Lack of Customer Service
Dear Mercedes-Benz South Africa I have previously written an E-mail complaining about the service at Mercedes Centurion. I think my Email got lost or ignored. Firstly I understand the Covid19 issues but I am sure that a plan can be made to accommodate my needs and address my problems. My vehicle was in for repairs in February 2020. They fixed the ECO function(replaced batteries), Had a look at the vehicle jerking badly under acceleration(just now and then) as well as fixing the Thermometer or the cooling system as the temp gauge would fluctuate by about 10-20 degrees. It cost me a whole lot of money as my vehicle is out of motor plan. Then the lock down happened and I was not driving that much. I was mainly doing short distances to buy food. The vehicle never stood without moving for more than 5 days. Now as I am driving more, the same problems are creeping back. I had a appointment today but was only informed yesterday afternoon that no shuttle service exits. I was also told by the service agent that Mercedes do not hand out loan vehicles. As I only have one vehicle and I cannot arrange for someone to pick me up from the dealership, I am stuck with a vehicle that could potentially break down. The jerking was really so bad the other day that the safety belts auto tightened(as if there was harsh braking) It feels like the whole engine stops suddenly and starts again. I am very sure that something has broken or will break soon. This was explained to the service agent but she still refused to make a plan. If it is a Mercedes policy not to help with a loan vehicle it is just shocking. During my last experience I really needed to put up a fight to get a loan vehicle when my vehicle would not be ready in one day. Guess I am there again. At this stage I am really disappointed that I ever bought a Mercedes Benz. I wish I could replace it but my finances will not allow it
