FSB action

My vehicle was damaged while traveling on the highway during 2009, the damage amounted to about R12000.00. My claim was repudiated because I submitted a notice via telephone to cancel the policy. At the time of the incident I was still covered for the period with all my premiums up to date. A decision was taken at MBFS to refund my premium for the cover period to avoid paying the claim. I did not understand insurance as well as I do now, I plan to take this matter up with the FSB. The insurer in this case acted incorrectly.<br> <br>
