Exploding sunroof - Merc Madness

My sunroof exploded! That too- under normal, peak hour driving conditions, early in the morning & on a highway! When I called Mercedes Benz, they scoffed and told me to contact my insurance. However, I see multiple reports of the same thing happening to other people. In the US, there are a number of lawsuits about this & Merc has had to recall cars (list of models available online). Merc SA should be taking responsibility- especially as my car is still under motor plan!
