We have a Smart For-Four vehicle that went for a general service, which costs between R2000-R3000. We received a phone call from Carl Apple, and suddenly the amount jumped to R4900. They claimed this price included brake pads and other repairs. When we went to pick up the car and pay for the service, the amount changed once again to R5600 for no good reason. <br> <br> We paid, but still had to wait for the installation of the brake pads. This took another week. When we went to pick up the car for the last time, they billed us a grand total of R11 000. <br> <br> However, they are unable to explain exactly why a normal service's price jumped from R2000 to R11 000.
