Claim rejected with invalid reasons.

Dear Sir/Madam,

i took my car to Mercedes Benz Menlyn because there is a funny sound coming from the steering when i turn it. i was then advised that that Mercedes Benz warranty declined my claim because it was caused by an external damage which i find it very strange or invalid because my car has never had any accident or external damage which might affect the steering rack. they mentioned things like hitting a pothole, but they never provide evidence that i was exposed to the potholes, there is not even one pothole where i drive my car every day, I have never seen one or came across one and that cannot be used as a reason for declining at all.

if they say I have hit a pothole they must show me the pothole that i have hit that surprisingly did not affect the wheels or alignment of the car but the steering rack in their view.

I would really like to be given reasons/explanations for rejecting my claim and I would be glad if we can resolve this amicably without having to go to the courts or ombudsman.
