Can Merc make you a millionare? Yes, if you are a Billionare!

<p>I purchased a 2012, C350 CDI, BE, still under motor plan till 2018. I drove the car from 72 000km till 85 300km, and now I had a turbo failure!!! @ 85 000km!!!! The vehicle was taken to MERC Constantia Kloof three weeks back. i was informed the total bill for the repair would be R73 000!!! My contribution would be 40% as per my maintenance plan.</p> <p>I am failing to see how this could be a maintenance claim, because surely a Turbo isn't a wearing part like brake pads etc. The same with an engine, surely an engine failure on such low kilos would also be manufacturing claim.</p> <p>Merc SA could be bothered less about this problem. I contacted them on THREE seperate occations, and everytime I was told, THEY WILL CALL ME BACK.......still no response. I asked for email addresses to have corrispondance in writing.....NOTHING WAS SUPP****.</p> <p> </p> <p>IF YOU CONSIDER BUYING A SECOND HAND MERCEDES BENZ UNDER MAINTENANCE PLAN.....DON'T....THE MOMENT YOU ARE OVER 60 000KM....YOU WILL PAY FOR EVERY LITTLE THING THAT GOES WRONG. And even if it doesn't go wrong....you will be charged for it.</p> <p> </p> <p>BMW will replace a turbo on a vehicle under 100 000km at THEIR COST....NO QUESTIONS ASKED.</p> <p> </p> <p>EVEN VW, replaced a TDI turbo on my Jetta 4 (2003) in 2007/8 at THEIR COST, the vehicle had 110 000km on the clock.</p> <p> </p> <p>In conclusion....IF YOU INTEND TO SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED DESEMBER BONUS ON A VEHICLE, MAKE SURE YOU WILL GET THE RIGHT SERVICE AND VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.</p>
