C-Class a horrible product

Premium brand motoring failure to deliver. I am one of 3 Mercedes Benz C-Class owners from my own area only which have had the same part failure of the electronic steering lock mechanism. This in turn causes total failure as the car can only move on a flatbed. Upon further research online and on multiple forums this is a VERY common failure. At a discounted cost of R7000 this is not a cheap quick fix but quite harsh! I have owned all 3 German luxury brands and in all other instances such a fault/common failure/issue would have been resolved under recall or extended warranty on the dud part. I find this extremely poor for a manufacturer to wash their hands and be happy to leave their customers in the lurch and potentially stranded at the side of the road. Weak, very weak Mercedes Benz. Definitely the last Merc I will ever own
