Buttons Peeling of my Steering Wheel !!!
I've recently bought a Mercedes-Benz C250 Bluetec on April 2016 from Northcliff Mercedes-Benz.
Recently I've experience problems from my service agent, Mercedes-Benz Century City. They refuse to replace my steering wheel for a new one even though the car has a 6 year maintenance/ 100 000km motorplan with a full 2 year warranty.
The problems with the steering wheel is that the buttons are completely peeling off and the leather on the steering wheel looks faded from the sun even though the car is daily garaged.
There is also indication of other areas -on and -beneath steering wheel- peeling off as well as heavy wear beneath the ignition, if cheap plastics were used ( see attachments )
This problem was brought twice under their attention when the vehicle was serviced- Once on 20 000 km and they were notified second time when the vehicle reached 40 000km's ( the service advisor Chad didn't even fill-in neither nor stamp the book even though I have received an invoice for the 40 000 km service on the Motorplan )
On 19 800km's first stages of pictures were taken when the steering wheel were showing signs of bubbles-
And now on 40 000 km's the buttons are completely worn and the leather steering looks faded
I hope Hello Peter and other frustrating customers (with similar experience) will come forward regarding this problem. The fact is this can heavily affect my resale value or future trade-in's and Mercedes-Benz SA is not willing to help nor assist me even though I have previously owned 7 Mercedes-Benz's in 8 years:
2006 MB C230 V6 Evolution, 2008 MB C350 Avantgarde, 2008 MB C220 CDI Avantgarde, 2009 MB C200 Elegance, 2009 MB C350 Avantgarde, 2010 MB C350 CDI Avantgarde and now recently a new C250 Bluetex ( all Automatic )
And as a young dynamic buyer ( who is only 32 years old ) (who tries to stay loyal to his brand) Finds it difficult to understand why Mercedes-Benz is not supporting my problem even though this is a factory fault.
Friends, Family members, colleagues (even the normal man on the street) are utterly disgusted how Mercedes-Benz SA are not willing to take responsibility for this specific issue- Demoting people not to buy this brand due to the lack of horrible after-Sale service and a non existing warranty.
