Beware of the costly NOx sensers on M/benz

Our M/Benz 220CDI ( W205) went into Century City Mercedes Benz in December 2019 as the engine warning light came on and this was within the warranty period.The service manager told us that they had fixed the problem but said we had to use this car for long journeys .Our kilometer is 53000km .During June 2021 the engine warning light came on again and we were told that the NOx sensors would need to be replaced at a cost of R33000.00 and M/Benz SA would contribute 10% of the labour costs. On surfing the web I found that in the USA and UK this was a common problem with this model and the cars were recalled but not in SA. This is our sixth and last M/benz we will be buying.
