BAD SERVICES MERCEDES MENLYN

I purchased a Mercedes 220D during September 2024 at a cost of R1.2 million from Mercedes Menlyn. During March/April 2025, I was notified by the car's computer that the car is due for a service. When I took it to Mercedes Menlyn, Pretoria, I was informed that the car's computer was not set correctly when the car was sold to me and that the service is only due in August. During August, the car started itself during the night and was idling thru the night and used R 600 diesel. The car's key was not even closed to the car. I filled the car with diesel, and the petrol gauge reflects only 328 kilometers available with a full tank. Normally, more than 860 kilometers are available on a full tank. I contacted the workshop manager, namely Johan, and arranged to meet him at the garage to investigate the problem. When I arrived the next day at the garage Johan could not see me because he was preparing for a meeting. They told me I must leave the car at the garage. I monitored the car by means of the computer and noticed that the car was locked and nobody was working on the car for two days. I phone the garage, only to te be informed that I can fetch the car because they are waiting for Mercedes to come back to them. After two weeks, I phoned again and was informed that this is a first in South Africa and that I should drive a long distance. They also say that the fuel gauge will reset itself, and it takes time. I can't believe in getting an answer like that from a Mercedes dealer. How do they think I can drive a far way if I am not sure how much fuel is in the car. I have now received a watsup that I should reset the trip meter. The trip meter is not even part of the problem. I have refilled the tank again, and according to the fuel gauge, I can drive 615 km. Normally, I can drive more than 860 km. with a full tank. This is now the 3rd week, and the problem is still not resolved.
