Bad service

Good day

To whom it may concern

We sent the below review to all the emails we found on the mercedes website a week ago and we never heard anything form them as yet???

********** ********** ********** **********

I would like to bring to your attention our concerns with regards to the service experienced by one of your dealers (Rola Commercial Vehicles Strand) in relation to our business vehicle.

Our Company purchased a new vehicle in 2011 The Vito panel van 116CDi If anyone should have the exact details of the below information it should be Mercedes themselves.

Soon after we purchase the Vehicle:

The vehicle was recalled for some manufacturing fault. Soon after we received it back the diesel was leaking and it had to go back in. We noticed after we received this vehicle back from its first service the vehicle was losing power and we immediately called them to inform them about it. We had to then book the vehicle in again and after we received it back we were told that it has been fixed with no explanation to why or what caused the vehicle to lose power. We had the vehicle for a few weeks and the problem re-occurred. We then took the vehicle back again and the reason we were given from Mercedes was that we were using an inferior diesel from “ENGEN” which to me means that a lot of people should be having this problem. The vehicle was temporarily fixed and it was mentioned to us that a diesel additive was used at Mercedes, to me this is not fixing the problem permanently but rather temporarily. The problem then came back after a few months and we sent the vehicle back and due to new staff we started the process all over again, where we were told that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. We had to then prove ourselves again and ask you guys to drive the vehicle for a longer distance to experience the problem we have to live with every day. We spent our money on a brand new vehicle and now we are asked to pay for all its manufactured flaws. Please have a look at the log on record to see how much times we asked Mercedes to check this fault

We are now sitting with a situation where Mercedes has our business vehicle for three weeks to sort out a problem caused by Mercedes. We run a business and had to rent a vehicle for this time at our expense so that we can meet our client’s expectations.

We are now meeting everyone at Mercedes to sort out a problem we brought to their attention long ago and I feel they should have sorted it out then, not just fix it temporarily. We are now expected to pay to have our vehicle fixed. We had our previous Vito for 8 years with no engine issues.

Above is enough information showing that we did everything we possibly could and now we are asked to pay for the repairs, we are not happy to pay and we would want this matter escalated. The issue with the power loss should have been investigated while the car was under warranty and not just fixed temporarily. We had a Vito previously kept it for 8 years and sold it with 350 000Km on the clock, zero engine issues??????????

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Rafique Parker

********** 544
