2 month Service for Mercedes Benz

Please do not expect German Engineering when taking your car in for a standard service at a Mercedes Benz dealership, especially if the vehicle is out of motor plan and a 2009 model. (Note the vehicle only has 122 000 on the clock.)

My car (C200 Kompressor) was taken for a service at Umhlanga dealership on the 14th October. the only request made to the dealership was to replace the battery in the key remote control. On the 16th October, the dealership requested for a sensor to be replaced which was showing signs of failure and approval was given. Suddenly the motor car would not start once the vehicle was reaching normal temperature. The dealership has since been doing fault finding on my vehicle.

By the 9th November, I contacted Mercedes Benz South Africa and informed them of the problem with my vehicle. The dealership and Mercedes Benz South Africa liaise every 3 days according to the dealership technicians with Mercedes Benz giving the dealership direction.

Mercedes Benz customer service has not followed up once with me and I thought that by now they would have sent an experienced technician or engineer to resolve the issue, but when I call the Mercedes Benz for an update, they start phoning the technicians at the dealership. I mean it's only been 2 months that I haven't had a car.
