Mecredes Benz Eastgate A ****

On the 17/01/2022 I brought my car (CLA 200 with 60479 km) in for service a and for a problem with the car it was smoking with poor acceleration, the car was NOT on service plan and had miss a service. I stated all this when book the car in. The car was taken in and I received a call from the client advisor that they will perform the service and change my brake pads, I then informed him AGAIN that the car is smoking and has poor acceleration. He then quoted me for a strip and check R2850 and I agreed to pay the amount. Later that day I received another call telling me that my turbo is demanded and needs replacing and the total cost of the vehicle was R87052.60 I payed the Fulll price and was told to come pick up the car Friday 21/01/2022. I picked up the car and on my way home on the EXACT SAME DAY of receiving the car back from the dealership the car starts smoking. I call the client service provider and inform him of this and he calls me back with advice from the technician that there is maybe residual oil in the exhaust system and I must drive the car around for a few days. Which I do but the car constantly smokes and the power drops in less then 100km return the dealership on the 27/01/2022 and I received a call informing me that the brand new turbo I bought on their advice is demanded 😟. I then drive down to the dealership and question on how a brand new turbo they fitted is demand. I ask to speak to Philip the service manager and he informs me that there seems to be a problem with the cars oil on examination the oil seems thick and they went to take the car to engineering to have the engine stripped. I refuse and ask them how they did not see this problem when they took out the old turbo or even when replacing a new turbo. I’m told that they ā€œcouldn’t see that farā€ on complaining and requesting to see the Dealership manager ONLY THEN do they decided to strip the car further and remove the stamp of the engine to see if there is no oil build up. They agreed to call me the following day Friday the 28/01/2022 no such call happened I had to return to the dealership my self on Tuesday the 01/02/2022 to receive information about my car. On Tuesday I’m then told that the oil pump was blocked and they need to replace the turbo for the second time. And I need to pay for a second turbo. This I flat out refused. Because of the following reason; 1. They where told from the start what the problem of the car was and I payed for a feel diagnostic of the car (strip and check) that cost R2850 and they didn’t check the oil pump to see that there was a blockage. 2. When fitting a new part into a vehicle do they not check that the part they place will run at optimal level as in check the that is in the correct, check if it will receive enough oil, in this checking the oil levels and oil pump? 3. The cars problem was stated in the beginning and not one of there technicians on running the diagnostic on seeing the 1st turbo was demand thought to think why is this car with 60479km having issues with a turbo, or why is this turbo demanded could their be underlining issues, I mean that’s what I payed them for. 4. The car started smoking the same day I received it form service. Does Mecredes Benz Eastgate not have a warranty on the service they provide? That a car brought to them with a problem can leave their dealership with the exact same problem. What the are they charging me R87052.60 for if they can not detect something as simple as a blocked oil pump.
