Shocking service by Mercedes eastrand mall.
About two and half months ago I took my vehicle with the registration number NANIP GP, to Mercedes-Benz East Rand Mall for service, which they identified a few things that need to be replaced and fitted. We had agreed that they do all the requested work apart from the shocks (which are currently on order from Germany) because the cost was too high. Firstly it took my car two days to be serviced which I would have not had a problem with if they had taken the time to communicate with me. It was only when I had called them to find out what was happening with my vehicle they told me that the vehicle was ready to be collected and the only problem was that they don't have a driver available to come fetch me. I organised myself transport to fetch my vehicle and didn’t complain about not being picked up. I arrived home and parked the vehicle in the garage and later went to fetch something from it only to find water all over the garage floor coming from underneath the vehicle, I then called them first thing in the morning to tell them about this and they had said that I should bring the vehicle back in. I took the vehicle in and the gentleman who was assessing it just put water in the vehicle and sent me back home since it was a Saturday and said I should bring the vehicle back on Monday morning. Monday morning I was at Mercedes-Benz East Rand Mall at 7am to drop off the vehicle, further to mention that my vehicle was not leaking prior to the moment I had first taken it in for service. I waited once again for the whole day for correspondence from the service team only to not receive any. When I had finally called them they said that the vehicle was not ready as they had not started working on it and I must come fetch it if I need to use it as they have ordered the coolant pipe and has not arrived. You can then imagine my frustration as a customer. I was then advised to bring back the vehicle on the Wednesday for the pipe to be replaced, which I did. I was called for the first time by the dealer to say I have to pay eight hundred for the pipe and note that this was a leak caused by them as my vehicle never had any leak. At this point I was fed up with dealer and decided to pay the money collect my vehicle and go back home. Two months down the line there is once again a heavy coolant leak from the vehicle and I had to stop constantly at filling stations to top up the coolant water to my inconvenience. Today (11/09/2018) after going to the gym I drove the vehicle straight home because there was smoke coming out from the bonnet. That has never happened to my vehicle before in the all the years I have owned the vehicle. I'm asking you to kindly and urgently attend to this problem before I take it up with legal and/or social media. I am asking you to realise how much I have been inconvenienced and ill treated as a customer.
This is the second AMG vehicle I have owned and I don't want to get started on the antics of what happened to the first vehicle at Mercedes-Benz Bedfordview. This has been a tormenting experience with the brand as a whole and I would find it difficult to advise anyone to buy a Mercedes-Benz vehicle as the service from the brand has been utterly poor! As I send you this e-mail, my vehicle is parked in the garage and I currently have no transport.
Further more Mercedes Benz East Rand has eventually contacted me about my car refusing to pay for the towing service for a problem they have caused. They just seem to say they'll further investigate the matter with no follow up phone call with results and the car is been parked in my garage for more than 7 days.
