On Tuesday, 19 January, 2016, i bought this C220, White CDI Merc from Grand Auctions in Randburg. Thursday, when I was to collect the car, they informed me that there are something wrong with the steering lock and the car would not start because of this security device. The car was then taken to Mercedes branch in Boksburg.They had to replace this device on the steering wheel and require a new code for the key to activate this device. Every second day I would phone either the auctioneer or the workshop manager to find out of the progress of the vehicle. I also visited the branch and as we all know, the answer to the question is, they are waiting for the part, they will push it for tomorrow or speak to the technician. Last week Thursday, 4 Feb, I asked the w/shop manger to be honest with me to when the vehicle will be available for collection. He phoned me back to tell me that today, Monday the 8 of Feb, the car will be ready.Still no car or phone call. Its been 11 working days (or 20 days) of being told that my car will be ready tomorrow. Is this the type of service,that Mercedes Benz offer to their valuable customers.Rather be honest if you can't keep up with good service.
