Left my car the whole day without servicing it

On 3 July, I noticed my Merc’s mileage was close to 100 000 km so I booked it in for service. I then brought the car into the dealership on 6 July early in the morning for service. A drivers working at the branch dropped me home after I sent in my car. By 6pm, I still heard nothing about Merc getting ready to pick me up for my car so I called the driver and he wanted to find out why no one has contacted me yet saying the service is done so he attempted ask people in the office to answer my phone call but no one was willing initially. After me insisting on it, they picked up and said they will now come and pick me up from home. The next day, I realized the service light was still on and the car was not serviced. I went back on Monday and asked to speak to the manager, one staff memeber pretended to be the manager and said it was not serviced on 6 July becuz I did not sign a job card or something. Firstly it is not my problem that no one asked me to sign anything. Secondly, they had the whole day to contact me and ask me to go sign. Thirdly, I never had to sign one in the past. Also, the staff member said my car has exceeded 100 000 km so now the service will cost me. I would like to be clear that it was under 100 000 on 3 July, it’s not my fault that they couldn’t do the service on 4 July but had to wait til the 6th.

Additionally, no one was apologetic the whole time I was complaining about this situation of leaving my car the whole day without servicing it.

I called the Mercedes Benz SA complaint department. The guy wasn’t helpful either. He promised me to send me a reference number for the case last week Tuesday but he still hasn’t.

I feel shocked that such a big brand has this kind of bad service!
