****!! Windscreen Chip

1) Never approve a chip repair from any car dealership! 2) Ask them for photo proof of you windscreen chip(s)! 3) Ask your friends how many dealerships phoned them about chips on their windscreens ... everyone you know will have a story, sadly some people fall for the ****!

They were unable to tell me what "chip" will qualify as a chip. They will "repair" anything for a quick buck.

This is my story: My wife book her merc in for a service and later received a call that there are two chips on the windscreen. She didn't know better and said, yes they can repair it. I know that windscreen better than anyone ... there were NO chips that will ever qualify as chip by an insurance company.

This is NOT my first time dealing with this ****. Just around the corner is the local BMW branch and they do the same. Everytime when I book my car in they will phone about a damn chip. I will ask them to take a photo and not touch my windscreen and I will come and inspect it with them later. And everytime ... NO chip. Total ****!

Over the past week (since the service at merc), I've asked my friends and colleagues about their experiences with other dealerships and almost everyone has a similar story!

Sad!
