BEWARE WHEN BUYING ON MERCEDES AGILITY FINANCE
Bought a A45 AMG on Mbsa Agility finance. When I purchased the car ,the salesman Fernando said when I want to return the car after my term expires "there will be no questions asked, You could finance another car or just leave the car here. In Sept 2017,i went to the dealership to have my car assessed by an expert. He gave us 3 faults(change windscreen, repair small scratch on f/r door and repair rims). Our salesman offered to get the door scratch sorted out. We had to give him the car for a week. I gave Fernando the car about 3 days before the contract expired . I paid for the rims to be repaired(R1850.00),then the windscreen was replaced(they insisted on a genuine Mercedes windscreen to be fitted at a cost of R10000.00-another sale for MBSA).then the shocker came when the manager Dion presented us with a bill for R3600.00(R3000 to repair the scratch on the door and R600 for license fees for the following year when the car is gone back too MBSA. Dion only presented the invoice after he made my wife sign on his phone without explaining. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY THE LICENSE FEES FOR THE FFG YEAR WHEN THE CAR IS GONE BACK TO MBSA AND ALSO WHERE IS FERNANDO WITH THE PROMISE OF REPAIRING THE DOOR FOR Us. When I purchased the car ,I paid the license and registration fees for the term that I was using the car for. My wife then called Fernando and expressed our unhappiness and asked to speak to Dion who was busy in a meeting. Fernando said that he will get Dion to call back but 5 days after and no call from Dion. Fernando gave me MBSA contact number to put forward our grievances. MBSA wants the car in a better condition that what they gave it to us in. They give you a 20 page contract when you are purchasing a vehicle. Who reads all the pages on both sides as well. The salesman should have told us the problems we will encounter when we buy a car on Agility Finance and not only the good highlights. I can still remember his words "no questions will be asked" just bring it here and drop the keys off. They do anything for a sale even at a corporate company like MBSA. My wife refuses to pay the bill. She asked them if we could send the car away to get the door repaired by our insurance company but Fernando said that the car is now grounded . If we insist then MBSA will charge us a pro rata fee per day for taking the car away. Its so unfair. Fernando's hands may be tied but he should have told us the low down of how Agility Finance works and as for the manager Dion, i am sure he could have waived those fees off. People BE AWARE WHEN BUYING ON MERCEDES AGILITY FINANCE. There are more negatives than positives. Maybe the service and facts are dealership and salesperson/manager reliant. I am a Mercedes person but I will never go back to Mercedes Century City and will never buy on Agility again. I also bought a C63 AMG from Dion and Fernando(not on Agility) but that's it.
