Arrogant pedantic rules designed for Europe

Some time ago we replaced our car's battery with a non Mercedes one because the one that came with the car broke. That one also broke and this dealer now want us to pay for the battery which is normally under motor plan.

The story is that if we still had a mercedes battery in there they would replace it for free but because it is not we have to pay for it.

Their battery broke in the first place any way so their expense was simply deferred on my account. Now they are using pedantic rules to avoid the cost.

I'm rather disappointent with this level of service form a company that are calling me on regular basis hoping to sell another car.
