GROSS NEGLIGENCE - NO WARNING ABOUT FAULTY ELEVATO

On Monday the 23rd of November 2015 I went to Menlyn Park Shopping Centre with my 3 year old daughter. We entered the lift near the Jet entrance(lift nr 17). As the lift started to go up I felt the lift come to a sudden stop and the doors were jammed and did not open. I pressed the emergency button a few times and did not receive any feedback alternatively answer to my \call". I then phoned the nr of Otis as displayed on the inside of the lift and informed them of my predicament. After half an hour of being stuck in the lift I still had not received any courtesy call from Menlyn staff to confirm that someone was on the way or taking care of the problem.I had to phone my mother to go get us some form of assistance!!! My 3 year old was getting agitated as she was hungry and wanted to use the lavatory. Eventually after more than an hour in the lift the doors opened. I was then informed by Alison the Manager on duty that this particular lift was not supposed to be in use as it was in \""shut down\"". THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS! This is an OUTRAGE!! Absolute no regard for the safety of their customers. Not even an apology. Was treated as if I was the wrong doer. Ridiculous!!!! """
