Extremely rude and poor service

Picked up an electronic Father Christmas as I wanted to check how the toy worked before I purchased it. I pressed the button which made the toy move to ensure that it was functional before I bought it. Xoliswa (shop assistant) quickly rushed over to myself and my wife and rudely told us we were not allowed to touch that toy as you can not touch it if you not going to buy it (I have no idea how he can make this assumption) he further stated you not allowed to touch that toy or any other toy in the shop as batteries were very expensive. I find this totally unacceptable as I was going to purchase the toy but was totally off put by the poor attitude and wanted to ask the owners how were customers expected to make any purchases if you not allowed to check the merchandise and why do their staff treat potential customers so badly. On top of this as my wife and I were walking away another shop assistant laughed and was saying that walking away .
