Near Death at Melomed Private Hospitals

I am disappointed and disgusted in the poor services provided to my 71 year old gran at the Melomed Bellville branch.She has been hospitalized on and off since November 2018 where the doctors failed to treat her leg. The first time they sent her home with high blood pressure. The second time with a rotten leg closed up with a bandage and the third time they sent her home with maggots in her leg claiming the leg is healed and complete neglected to treat the other leg that was clearly beginning to become infected too.

They sent her home with maggots in her leg!!!! We went to a private doctor who referred us to the day hospital who then referred us to Tygerberg hospital where they discovered the maggots and are now trying to save her legs. The nursing staff at Melomed Bellville on the 3rd floor had no respect for the patients, they speak to patients how ever they feel, threaten them with injection if a patient does not behave. During visiting hours the nurses laugh loud and carry on like it's a part on the floor or something and have no respect for the ill patients on the floor. This is really bad , something must be done.

My grandmother could loose both her legs ??all because no one at the hospital paid attention? Several tests were done, x-rays taken, so much money deducted from her medical aid fund but still they sent her home with maggots.
