Melomed ...who do you care about most ?

A few days ago I took my daughter to the trauma unit in Mitchells Plain .Turns out she had a foreign object in her foot .The Dr on duty in trauma , instead of admitting her gave me the runaround referred us to not only a hospital out of my medical aid scheme network but also a Dr out of network .I spent 3hours on the phone trying to find a specialist to assist my kid who is non verbal autistic and screaming of pain .The option he initially gave us was , we can go to the referred Dr or he can do it himself .After a few phonecalls we went back to him to do it and he kindly refused .Nevertheless , It turns out there are 3 specialist in the hospital that were present that day but I was still turned away .My question to the Melomed group management - is this the type of representation you have in your trauma unit , doctors who turn patients away and cause unnecessary stress and financial loss .I now have to pay out of my pocket for consultation today for something that could have been resolved two days ago .I am very disappointed with the service .I have been with melomed for years .My entire family and extended family use your services .I am more than disappointed I am heartbroken and disgusted .
