Melomed Mitchell's plain Malpractice

On the 2nd of February 2019 I was rushed to emergency room of Melomed Mitchell's Plain, with severe abdominal pain at 11 am. On arrival and wait I was called by an extremely blunt and annoyed triage nurse. Who signed me up incorrectly, and when I ask her to correct it, she acted like a snob. Eventually I ended up in the emergency rooms. On a bed that lacked a pillow, I am in level 10 pain and trying flag the attention of the many nurses on the floor in this state. Eventually the same nurse that signed me in, came to my bed and asked rudely . Why aren't you laying down? I explained to her that I needed a pillow and with no compassion. She fetched a pillow and just threw it on the bed with a blanket.

The Emergency Dr. eventually saw to me. Upon examination it was deducted that I had a gynecological problem. Therefore I was place down as a patient of resident gynecological specialist for that particular weekend, and admitted to the surgical ward.

To concise this horrid experience. I was laying in an hospital bed 2 and half days. No Doctor, with every inquiry I ran into a brick wall. Eventually I had to get my husband involved. Then the hospital wanted to know by him if I was a minor. Trying to shift the responsibility back onto me. Reluctantly the head of staff of the surgical ward was informed and it was found that, the gynecological specialist was never informed that I was his patient.

On the 4th February 2019 an it was visiting hours, my family visited. In that space of an hour. I received a call from a very peeved gynecological specialist stating that he was never informed, that I was his patient. I agreed to wait for him till the following morning. Until one staff sister came to my bed with paper work. She was oh so nice and apologetic. She to inquired; "why did you get your husband involved?" Then she said the hospital will be discharging me. Her argument the medical aid is expensive. Then she also confirmed that she would cancel the appointment the gynecological specialist visit in the morning. Just like that I was sent home with my family.
