Melomed Mitchells Plain

My 9 month son waited for over a hour yesterday to be admitted at the Mitchells Plain branch. Thereafter he received no treatment other than a drip and a antibiotic injection of 1ml which we found out was way too much for a child his age.

He was diagnosed with bronchol pneumonia last year and we rushed him to Melomed Mitchells Plain as it was closer for us than Tokai. We expected Xrays to be done to see the severity of his condition but were told it would be done the next day. My son was weak and his breathing wasnt too good because of his infection. When my wife was transferred to Tokai becaue she felt uncomfortable at Mitchells Plain the paediatric was shocked that no other treatment was given to my son and the 1ml injection he received. One should not be uncomfortable at a hospital it seems all people care about is your money and not the level of service
