Melomed government hospital

I'm honestly shocked at the quality of service offered from melomed. The illusion provided in the news ads and poster are not half the quality of service rendered to patients. I was admitted to Melomed Gatesville for a head injury there emergency waiting hour was 2 to 4 hours( that I'd the same level of waiting hours provided by the government owned hospitals). Once I was attended to the doctor on call was very helpful and assist . I was then transfered to a ICU ward I had very sensive eyes due to my head injury which then I required little to no light I was put in the brightest ward while I was in the ward the nurses had to check my normal vitals and the machines used for this was faulty . Eventually after a few hours they had to some medics came to assist the staff with changing the machines. It's strange to see a ICU ward with faulty machines . At one point of the evening the night shift staff came in and 2 nurses always had to be on on duty to assist however this was not the case one patient had to wait till the other nurse came back from tea to be assisted, the night nurse still mentioned "I am alone her and I'm not suppose to be , when the other nurse comes back I will help you " the worse part of it all this lady was in such a distress because she has a pee, was busy getting a fever and had chest issues. So much for private care. Seems to me that the nursing system has lost touch to serve and be dedicated to patients with compassion and passion to serve. Eventually after a few days the doctor asked that I be moved to a ward where there is bright lights to a but that was not the case I was moved to a ward where the people don't care if they switch the lights on dispute my sensitive eye condition. The nurses on duty in the M ward where no existent and had the excuse of having other patients to attend to . I asked the nurse if she was the only one on duty and she said they only 2 nurses available to assist . I ask if she can have abit of compassion because she was dealing with ill people and she said but I told the other patient I was busy. Shocking to see this is the level of serve you pay for and should be receiving. I asked for water and a extra Plate of food because I was hungry , the food never came I had to ask my husband to bring me something to eat nd the water came when I was about to sleep. The tray provided was dirty and the cups served for tea was Styrofoam, I'm starting to think all this money we are paying for is to get government hospital treatment instead of private. I'm apolled by melomed in general and would not recommend there service or for you to be attended to you them. They might just leave your loved one uncared for.
